Web26 okt. 2024 · Lawn Lake was once a man-enlarged lake, but the dam broke in 1982 causing considerable flooding downstream and forming the Alluvial Fan and Fan Lake. The lake now exists at its original level. Wood signs indicate the paths to the sites; the paths may be marked by red arrowheads on trees. Lawn Lake was originally a natural lake with a surface area of 16.4 acres (6.6 hectares), located at an elevation of approximately 11,000 feet (3,400 m) in the Rocky Mountains.
